FingerFood Theme Buffet: Week 15 - Fishtail

Hello lovelies!

Guess who did no homework this weekend? Me! Hehe oops. My dad came to visit on Saturday so that's my excuse. I'm not really worried about getting it done, so no worries!

Onto the nails!

This was my first attempt at a fishtail braid manicure! Probably never going to do this again! (:

Here's what I used:

These nails took so long to do and I wasn't even being patient with it like I should have. I wasn't letting my strokes dry because I was getting frustrated since my yellow polish was super goopy. Definitely not a fan of this technique.....

I ended up following Lucy from Lucy's Stash's tutorial (here). She makes it seem so easy!....I bet she waited in between strokes....I also didn't realize until after I finished but these are the same colors are Brazil's flag and it's all I can think about when I look at these.

This post turned really negative pretty quickly....which is weird since I'm in a really good mood! Blah, I don't even know. For a first attempt, I think I did a decent job. Would I wear these? Nope.

Here's a song for today:

Thanks for reading guys!

  3. Wow your first attempt is so much better than my first (and second!) attempts!! But you did put a key phrase in there which I overlooked, "waiting for the strokes to dry...."

  4. Lmao I just got so confused there for a split second coz my Google+ name is Emma B, and was like, wait have I commented haha! I LOVE these nails! Definitely channelling Brazil, but that's good! I want these nails, because they remind me of summer + sun - and it's still a bit too chilly here! I can't believe this is your first attempt, they're so good!! Great job! Must get mine done now! X
