31 Day Challenge: Red

Hello lovelies!

Do you know what today is? Besides being a US holiday aka I don't have classes and yup....But it marks the start of the 31 Day Challenge! I know this challenge isn't specific to September but Sarah over at Chalkboard Nails has almost, kind of turned September into the "official" 31DC month so I decided to join in! I wanted to try this challenge last year when I first started blogging but was too intimidated and even though I've completed two 31 day challenges this year, I'm still nervous haha.

But let's get onto the nails!

You guys can expect to see a lot of patterns this month (:

Here's what I used:

Today's nails were inspired by this pattern, which I guess is really wrapping paper. I don't know why I've never thought of looking at wrapping paper for nail inspiration...I mean that's a lot of cool patterns! *insert lightbulb* :D

These nails started with two coats of Julep's Kennedy and a layer of HK Girl. Then using red acrylic paint and my small detail brush, I painted on the leaves and branches. The design was sealed in with another layer of HK Girl.

I'm really happy with how these nails turned out and that my photos are looking better! This challenge couldn't have come at a more perfect time...I mean minus the whole school thing but...I've got my motivation back to do nail art and am actually ahead on posts now!

Make sure to check out the hashtag #31DC2014 to see other bloggers' posts. I also "heard" that another blogger (More Nail Polish) set up inLinkz for the entire month, so check the photos down below too! Thanks for reading guys!
