52 Week Challenge: 2 Color Gradient with Teal

Ello!

Today is another day that will be filled with posts but this one is fun because it's the beginning of a new challenge. It's called the 52 Week challenge and you guessed it, it runs for a whole year! It's an interesting challenge that I'd probably butcher if I tried explaining it, so check out the Crumpet's Nail Tarts group on Facebook if you'd like to learn more!

Onto the nails!

I do know that each week there are two different prompts and you can either do one of them,  two separate designs, or combine the two ideas into one look. I decided that I'm going to try combining them each week so today I have a two color (toned) gradient featuring a teal polish for you all!

Here's what I used:

I think the award for the most subtle gradient goes to me for this one because you can barely see it! I promise it's there though, the cuticles on my right hand can prove it because they're still stained from this.... Anyways, since I can't leave anything alone I decided that I would paint this pattern (again I can't find a source) over it!

These nails started with two coats of White On, which I let dry for a good 20-30 minutes or so. Then using the makeup sponge, I sponged on the gradient with Wednesday near my cuticles and Zuza at my tips. I added a layer of HK Girl to smooth it out, and when it dried I freehanded on the zig zag pattern. Another layer of HK Girl was applied to finish these.

Other than the gradient staining my cuticles and being a huge pain to clean, I really liked these nails. The design is simple but it's really pretty! This will probably be something that you see again because these were easy to paint too (:

Thanks for reading guys!
