31 Day Challenge 2015: Artwork

Hello lovelies!

Quick post today because I'm moving back to school today! I'm excited even though I'm totally not looking forward to having to carry all of my stuff up to my second floor apartment....lame. I also know that the minute that I'm done unpacking, I need to sit down and do some serious school work...I did finally start though, so yay! Progress!

Anywho, onto the nails!

Glitter! Yay!

Here's what I used:

Today's nail art is inspired by art! More specifically this painting that I found by Jenn Meador! I don't own any gold flakies though so I had to opt for some glitter instead.

I started these nails with two coats of Jules and a layer of Elemental Ward. When that had dried, I used the distressed brushstroke  technique to paint on Rocky, Blu, and Genevieve (in that order.) Then using a brush (not pictured) dipped in acetone, I went over the brushstrokes to smooth them out a bit. The glitter was sponged on with a makeup sponge and everything was sealed in with another layer of Elemental Ward.

This was another look that I really liked wearing! These were pretty easy to do too and I think the design might be interesting in different color combinations. What do you guys think? Would you wear these?

Thanks for reading guys!
