I hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was spent working but I did get the chance to go for a little road trip with some family on Saturday, so that was nice.
Anyways, onto the nails!
Those triangles though!
Here's what I used:
Today's design was inspired by this print that I found. I've wanted to try nail art for this for a while now and I'm glad that I did. I know that Will Paint Nails For Food and Manicurity have done something similar to this before!
These nails started with 2 coats of Galaxy and 2 layers of topcoat. Why 2 layers of topcoat? Galaxy is a textured polish and I really don't like the feel of textures but this polish is so pretty, that I don't even care! This is a polish that I will definitely put up with needing the extra layers of topcoat because I love the color. But back to the nail art, when the topcoat was dry I freehanded on the triangle shapes and dotted on the stars with the acrylic paint. Everything was sealed in again with another layer of topcoat.
I was really happy with how these nails turned out! I like the fractal-like pattern and think that it makes an interesting design. I'll probably end up rocking these again some time haha!
Also, I have a little announcement! The Sparkle Queen has been working on a super secret project for the past couple of months and it finally went live yesterday! She created this really cool site called Random Nail Art that is like a combination of Pinterest and StumbleUpon but just for nail art. This allows you to "stumble" through a ton of different nail art blog posts for inspiration and they're actually credited! No more dead Pinterest links. I was thrilled when she asked me to be a part of the beta testing and I have a bunch of posts on the site, so definitely give it a go! It's fun, I promise!
Thanks for reading guys!
