Hello lovelies!
It's Friday! I hope you're all ready for the weekend! I get to spend the next 5 days at work so I don't really get a weekend /: But this is my last week working before I go back to school! Woo! Anyways, nail blog, right. I'm back again today to show you the last of my Cascade Polish collection! This post will be a little longer since there are 3 polishes, so sit tight (:
Let's get to the nails!
First up is the polish Fright!
More after the jump:
This is 1 coat of Frights over 2 coats of ELF's Yellow (how original....) This polish has a bunch of different colored small hexes and bar glitter in a clear base and for 1 coat, I'm happy with this glitter payoff! Like the rest of my Cascade Polishes, I did set this upside before using it.
I know some people don't like bar glitter, I'm a little on the fence about them myself, these were super easy to work with and I didn't have to move them around any. They all laid flat and none stuck off my nails! I really like the teal and purple glitters in this polish and they really stand out against the bright yellow (which really freaked my camera out for some reason....sorry).
Moving on, the next polish is Pumpkin Spice!
Pumpkin Spice has a neon orange base and is filled with tiny pink glitters along with silver bar glitter. I ended up layering 2 coats of Pumpkin Spice over 2 coats of ELF's Party Peach. I tried wearing this polish on its own but after 3 coats, I had a bit of VNL which I personally don't like, but I'm sure if you have shorter nails you could wear this on its own.
I'm a fan of how bright this polish is and I like the small pink glitters in it. But unfortunately, the silver bar glitters were a bit harder to manage and I had a few that didn't lay completely flat on my nail. Also, I think there might have been some unmixed pigment floating around (the orange clumps in the bottle). I didn't get any on my swatting hand but a few ended up on my Cinderella hand (just figured I'd point it out). This is a lovely Halloween color though!
And finally we have Magic Of The Night!
For my swatches, I have 1 coat of Magic Of The Night over 2 coats of Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac. Magic Of The Night has a slightly purple tinted base and is filled with blue, hex glitters in various sizes along with some small bar glitters and medium, circle glitters. The base of this will darken whatever polish you layer it over.
The effect of this polish is pretty subtle but I really like it. The blue glitters are all really pretty together and the red and purple bar glitters give it some more visual interest. My only complaint is the circle glitters. I wish there was more! I had to fish to get the ones you see on my nails since they sunk to the bottom.
As I mentioned in my last Cascade Polish, this collection of 5 polishes (find the other 2 here) is on sale for $19 right now! The owner posted on Instagram that she will be MIA for a while but her shop is still open. So if you're interested, you might want to send her an email or Facebook message before ordering.
