Freehand Nail Art Challenge: Complementary Colors - Mosaic Floral

Ello!

I'm back again with another post! I recently joined a new nail art group called the "Freehand Nail Art" group that is, you guessed it, all about freehand nail art! The group started a weekly challenge and I decided that I would participate here and there for fun.

So, onto the nails!

This week's theme is complementary colors!

Here's what I used:

I really wasn't sure what I wanted to paint since the theme is really open, but I found this mosaic and put it parts of it on my nails! The nails I did aren't true to the design but I tried to attempt a looser mosaic for my background.

These started with 3 coats of Teal Or No Teal. When that had dried, I used the other blue polishes to paint the blob shapes for the "mosaic" background which I sealed in with topcoat. Then using acrylic paint I painted the flowers on, adding darker and lighter shades for some detail. And again, I added another layer of HK Girl.

Orange and blue is another one of those color combinations that I don't like, but I kind of like the colors here. The flowers aren't super well done but I like these nails! I'm excited to see what else the other members of the group do!

Thanks for reading guys!
