Luxe Lacquers: August Box Nail Art

Hello lovelies!

Yesterday, I had my review of the August Box from Luxe Lacquers. Today, I have the nail art that I did with the polishes for you guys! Check under the cut for more photos:

Look #1:
nails, nail art, nail polish, luxe lacquers, hey darling polish, red, black, stripes, rhinestones,

I decided to group the polishes into pairs, so the first pair is Josette and Chantal! These are the two darker shades of the box and when paired together they create a dark, vampy-like design.

These nails started with two coats of Josette and a layer of HK Girl. Then using straight Nail Vinyls and Chantal, I made vertical stripes. That was again coated with a layer of HK Girl and I placed the rhinestones in the wet topcoat. If you wanted the rhinestones to last a while, you could use nail glue or seal them in with another layer of topcoat.

I really like how fancy these nails are! You really can't beat stripe nail art, but I think these would be perfect for Halloween.

Look #2:

The second pair of polishes is Rose and Amelia, these are the two crelly polishes in the box. I don't know what it is about these two but the only thing that I could come up with is polka dots!

This design started with three coats of Rose. Using a large dotting tool and Amelia, I added on the polka dot pattern. Everything was sealed in with a layer of Lucky 13 Lacquer's Elemental Ward and I added a bow onto my middle finger.

I love how cutesy these nails are! Kristi over at BeginNails adds bows to a lot of her swatches and it reminded me of how cute they are, so I pulled out some of mine. I wish these were practical to wear though, I ended up picking this off as soon as I was done taking photos....whoops....

Here's a little recap of how the subscription box works incase you missed it yesterday:
Luxe Lacquers subscriptions are $29.99 a month or bi-monthly for 4 polishes, or $19.99 for 2 polishes every month or every other. Every subscription has free shipping within the USA and Canada. These polishes were all great quality and the bottles actually hold 17mL! You can also cancel, pause, or suspend your account at anytime you want too. Or you can order individual colors from past boxes for $10.97 a bottle. Here's the links:

Thanks for reading guys and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  3. Polkadots and stripes are always lovely... and I hear you with the bows, they're not my thing, way too big. How is the L13L top coat?

  5. Thank you! I wish I could wear the bows again but nope. I haven't really had the chance to try it too much. I still have a 2oz refill bottle of HK Girl that I haven't touched so I'm using that. But I like the L13L topcoat so far!
