31 Day Challenge: Yellow

Hello lovelies!

It's day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge. And I said I wasn't going to do that.....whoops...welp, it's late and I have class really early tomorrow soooo, yeah quick post!

Onto the nails!

I'm really loving this first week of just having colors for themes because you can still basically do whatever you want haha.

Here's what I used:

Okay, I have a quick question. Do you guys like when I put the acrylic paint in the bottle shot? I know sometimes it seems weird when it isn't there but I don't know how helpful it is when I mix colors together. So yeah, I don't know, let me know your thoughts!

These nails were my recreation of this pattern, which supposedly costs $66 a yard....I feel like that's a lot...but it was basically free to put it on my nails sooooo hehe (; But anyways, these nails started with 2 or 3 coats of My Vampire Is Buff. Then using a small detail brush and the acrylic paint, I painted on the little zig zags. After clean up, I sealed the design in with a layer of HK Girl.

According to the site where you can buy this fabric from, it's supposed to be a zebra print but I don't think it looks like one. Regardless, I really liked this design too! I know we're only 3 days into the challenge but I have a good feeling about this one. Even though, this was the last manicure that I had done ahead of time sooooo, haha yeah...

Thanks for reading guys!

  2. I like seeing everything that you use in your manicures. Maybe even start including the brushes you use?

  3. I never quite understood the draw of acrylic paints until last month when I purchased my first set! It is so much easier to manipulate details. I love the zigzags, they really pop against the base!

I love seeing what you use for each manicure!

  6. Nice job with the free hand zig zags, they are so even and clean. Seeing the tube of acrylic paint for me is not needed. The only time I really pay attention to the bottles is when they are by the nails. That way I can see if it dries differently than it looks in the bottle. Not sure if that was helpful or not, but thought I would address your question.

  7. Cute! I like seeing the acrylic paint in your pic personally - mainly because I don't own any yet and am interested to see the brand/ color people use before purchasing!

  10. Lovely! That yellow is so bold! Also I like seeing the acrylic paint in the picture. Otherwise for pictures like this it would just be a single bottle of the base colour which doesn't really represent what you used to put the whole thing together. :)
