Hello lovelies!
I have an Indie Fridays post for you guys! This week has been pretty crazy and I'm seriously so happy that I'm getting this post up on time haha. Let's get to the swatches!
*All swatches shown with one coat of HK Girl.
I'm going to start today's post off with Band Geek! This black jelly is filled with copper, silver, and gold hex glitters. I'm showing you guys three coats of this plus topcoat.
The two polishes that I'm showing you guys today were the first polishes that I ever bought from KBShimmer about two years ago! These have held up really well and the formulas were still really great to work with. I have always found that the base of Band Geek can be a little finicky and you sometimes have to dab a bit to cover any bald spots (clearly I missed my middle finger....), but I still find this really fun to wear!
Next up is I Got A Crush On Blue!
I'm showing you guys three coats of this polish plus a layer of topcoat. I Got A Crush On Blue is blue jelly is filled with silver glitters in various sizes.
This polish. Seriously. I love this! This polish was the reason that I placed that first order with KBShimmer. The base color of this is great and the glitters sparkle so much, it's ridiculous (in a good way!)
I also did some nail art with these!
Honestly, I have no idea what I was thinking what I painted these (over two months ago....whoops!) I'm going to guess that I thought the gold polish would compliment the glitters well? Maybe?
These nails started with three coats of Band Geek and a layer of HK Girl. Then using a detail brush and OPI's Lamb.Angel.Music.Baby to paint the weird shape. I'm guessing that I pushed the studs down into the wet polish and sealed everything in with a layer of HK Girl.
Last up is the look that I did with I Got A Crush On Blue.
Umbrellas! Why? I don't know! These are actually a recreation of some nails that I did a long time ago but never posted on the blog. I wish rain was sparkly and awesome like I Got A Crush On Blue.
These nails started with three coats of I Got A Crush On Blue and a layer of HK Girl. Then using a detail brush and white acrylic paint, I painted on the shape of the umbrella to create a base. I went back over the white paint with different colors to add the designs and the handle. Everything was sealed in with another layer of HK Girl.
Here are some macros:
Both of these polishes are available on the KBShimmer website and retail for $8.75 a bottle. Here are some links:
Thanks for reading guys!
