Hello!
I'm back with a second post for you guys. This month's theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative is wallpaper! When I first saw that this was one of the choices for January, I got super excited and voted for it without even thinking. Now that's time to actually do the nail art, I'm freaking out...I've been having such a hard time finding inspiration that I can actually paint on my nails. Blah!
Anywho, onto the nails!
So far this is the only design that I have done! Woo for planning ahead!
Here's what I used:
Luckily, I came across Rosenberry Rooms which has a ton of wallpaper designs! This teal, flowery design caught my eye and that's where today's nail art came from.
These nails started with two coats of Blu and a layer of HK Girl. I then dabbed some Wait N' Sea around on my nail and used a brush dipped in acetone to spread the polish out. When that dried, I used my detail brush and white acrylic paint to add on the flower petals. Everything was sealed in with another layer of HK Girl.
I don't know if my nails actually really look like the inspiration, but I still think they turned out alright! What do you think? Would you use this wallpaper in your house?
Thanks for reading guys!
-Marisa! (:
Its pretty! I like the light blue you used as the base here. I still haven't done any manicures for this theme yet but I plan to this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour mani is gorgeous, but I don't think I'd want it on my wall lol. After remodeling my bathroom and peeling off wallpaper, I never ever want to see wallpaper again LOL
ReplyDelete10/10 would have in their guest bathroom or sun room. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteHahaha too funny! Yeah, that doesn't sound like fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I actually like patterns from the 70s, so I'd totally take your wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteHaha thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I don't have any wallpaper at my house (I detest seeing seams on the walls), but that doesn't mean I can't admire wallpaper designs ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat semi-abstract look. I'd love those colours on my walls ;)
ReplyDeleteHahaha that's understandable. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAgreed!! Thank you!
