Hello lovelies!
Late post today. Meh! I fell asleep before I did my homework last night and have spent most of today finishing everything. I have a little time before my last class though so here's a post!
Onto the nails!
I think painting wavy lines might actually be harder than painting straight lines because these took a while!
Here's what I used:
Today's nail art was loosely inspired by this pattern by Barbara Brown. I've really been into looking at different patterns from the 60s-70s lately and I constantly want to paint them on my nails...so you might want to prepare for that haha!
These nails started with two coats of Gothic Gala Lacquers's Rust and a layer of HK Girl. Then using my striping brush and the acrylic paints, I freehanded on the wavy pattern. I didn't worry about the stripes lining up as they went across my nails and just painted them randomly. Everything was cleaned up and sealed in with a layer of HK Girl.
Despite how long these took, I love how they look! The color combination is my favorite part of these and I'm loving my new polishes from Gothic Gala Lacquers. Shout out to Narmai from PiggiLuv for an awesome giveaway and introducing me to a new brand (:
Thanks for reading guys!
-Marisa! (:
They remind me of beach waves. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the waves! I would have a difficult time keeping them even.
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun and pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat awesome wavy stripes these are!
ReplyDeleteI can so totally imagine these wavy lines being way harder than straight ones! You did a great job though! I really love the outcome :D
ReplyDeleteOooh so groovy! :p They turned out really fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo far behind on mine!! My 2nd one is only posting on Monday, so I have to get to it with the other 2. I have them all planned out in my head (haha). Anyway... The wavy lines are so trippy with the color combos. I love this color combo so go 60s and 70s theme!! I can't wait to see what else you come up with.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I love coppery colors with blue so much!
ReplyDeleteOhh I can see that!

ReplyDeleteHaha I only have one more painted and I'm lost for ideas on my last design! So it sounds like you're better off than me! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIt's such an interesting color combo! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely, I'm a bit at a loss what to do for my remaining two NCC mani's... more plaid, or something different... *keeps on pondering*
ReplyDeleteLove your creativity! Kind of simple but so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteHaha I've been loving your plaid! I have one more that I need to paint but I'm out of ideas at this point. I'm super excited about next month's theme though!
