Hello lovelies!
How has everyone's weekend been? I'm finally kind of getting ahead on nail art and I'm so happy! I'm excited for some of the posts that I have to share with you guys.
But let's get to today's nails!
And yeah, you read that post title right. Reversed polarities? Hardest challenge theme ever....
Here's what I used:
My understanding of today's theme from some of the discussion in the Crumpet's Nail Tarts group is that the colors are backwards. So, like a black ladybug with red dots or green daisies on white grass (thank you Debbie for those examples)! I saw these little crocheted fish and thought of goldfish, so I painted blue goldfish over an orange base....that works right?
I started these nails off with two coats of Stoked To Be Soaked and a layer of Elementary, which was followed with a layer of HK Girl. Then using my detail brush and acrylic paint, I added on the little goldfish. I found it easiest to paint one row of fish vertically down my nail and then fill in the sides. When those were done, I added another layer of HK Girl.
These actually turned out kind of cute haha! It's such a weird idea but I think using the fish to make a pattern made these work for me. I can't say that I'd wear these again but I can deal with them this one time :P
Also, random question. I feel like I've kind of been gaining a bunch of followers lately and I was just wondering how you guys found me? I don't know if it's the challenge going on or that I've been commenting around before but I'd love to know! And thank you for wanting to read my little part of the nail world<3
Thanks guys!
-Marisa! (:
