The Nail Art Guild: Music

Hello lovelies!

Do you guys know what today is? Do ya, do ya, do ya?!...

No guesses, okay, well....1 year ago today I wrote my first post here at Hey, Darling Polish! I can't believe that it's been a year since I started this blog. My main goal was to have a place to share my nail art but it's turned into so much more. I've met so many awesome nail polish addicts and I want to say thank you to everyone who had made this year a fun one!  I have something special planned but I can't post about it yet, but I promise it'll be good so keep your eyes open for that!<3

But I have some nail art for you today!

The Nail Art Guild is back today with music inspired nails!

Here's what I used:

So, I decided for my music nails that I would do a "Music Monday" like post! Today's nails were inspired by The Academy Is... album called Almost Here. The Academy Is... was one of the first bands that I found on my own back in middle school and Almost Here is my favorite album of theirs. Here's the album art:

These nails started with 2 coats of Vera. I then sponged on a gradient of Vera and Parker for my background and the green sun rays were painted on with Francis. I sealed in the background with a layer of HK Girl. I started the album design by painting the sun first with acrylic paint and when that had dried, I painted on the hills. The last thing I painted on was the brown tree and I sealed it in with another layer of HK Girl.

I'm so happy with how these nails turned out! I've wanted to paint this album on my nails for so long but I always was too afraid to actually do it. I never would have imagined myself being able to pull this off a year ago, it's weird man haha!
