Hello lovelies!
I'm back with a 2nd post for you all today and I'm super excited about it!
Let me introduce you guys to a new to me indie brand called Luxe Lacquers! Luxe Lacquers is a indie subscription box where all polishes are 5-free, cruelty free, and on trend with the latest colors at an affordable price. I have the July box to show you guys today so let's get the polish! (This post is picture heavy).
*All swatches with 1 layer of HK Girl Fast Drying Topcoat unless otherwise stated
I'll start this review with the polish Poppy!
I'm showing you guys 2 coats of Poppy on its own without topcoat. This neon is a reddish hot pink that dries to a satin finish. The formula was easy to work with and there was no dragging. I found this to dry a little slower but I'm used to topping everything with a quick dry topcoat. I love how bright this polish is!
Next up is Mila!
Mila is a bright purple, metallic polish with blue and pink shimmer. The formula with this polish was easy to work with, had no visible brushstrokes, and covered in 2 coats. Unfortunately, these kinds of purples freak my camera out so my photos are showing it more blue toned. Missy over at Gnarly Gnails as some more color accurate photos of this one!
Next is Anne!
Anne is a soft mint green with flashes of purple and blue shimmer. I figured this polish would take a few coats to become opaque but I got the coverage that you see here in 2 coats! This was the first polish I swatched and I was super impressed by it. I even wore this to work and it managed to survive a whole 5 and a half hour shift on register with only minor tip wear!
Last up is Siena!
Siena is a gorgeous golden yellow polish that covered in 3 coats. This was the only polish that had some minor formula issues but that's typical of yellow polishes. The 3rd coat helps even out any streakiness. I really love polishes that are this shade on myself since I find it suits my skin better than bright yellows!
I did some nail art with all of the polishes together!
These nails started with a base of Anne and a layer of quick drying topcoat. I then placed chevron nail vinyls on and sponged on a gradient of Poppy and Mila. When the nail vinyls came off, I used a dotting tool to add Siena. These nails have a lot going on but those are the kind of designs I like wearing in the summer!
And some macros:
I really like all of these colors together for a summer box!
Luxe Lacquers subscriptions are $29.99 a month for 4 polishes with free shipping within the USA and Canada. These polishes were all great quality and the bottles actually hold 17mL! You can also cancel, pause, or suspend your account at anytime you please too. I don't actually subscribe to any kind of polish or beauty box but I like the way that this one works!
If you're interested in nail polish boxes, I think this is one that you should definitely check out. Make sure to follow Luxe Lacquers on Instagram and Twitter as she will be posting promo codes to get 25% off your first box! This offer is only valid between July 1st and July 15th, so don't wait! There are also giveaways and special offers for people who subscribe to the mailing list.
I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post and thanks for putting up with all the photos! I don't write review posts all that often but hopefully I'm getting better at it haha. Thanks guys!
-Marisa! (:
