Hello lovelies!
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a lovely time last night. I know I did! Anyways, we're starting this year off with a new challenge!....and a late post haha. Debbie over at The Crumpet has organized a new 31 Day Challenge for the month of January, and I'll be taking part!
So, let's get onto the nails!
I am absolutely thrilled with how these nails turned out!
Here's what I used:
The first theme for the challenge is to follow a tutorial. I recently came across Cotton Coney's tutorial for a streaky gradient and I fell in love with the technique, so I did a blue gradient with a grid painted over it! Why? I don't know. I saw this pattern by Poppy Seed Fabrics and it made me want to paint a gridded nail art look!
These nails started with two coats of Kristen. When that dried, I followed the gradient tutorial to add on the other blues. This was followed with a layer of HK Girl. I then used my acrylic paint and striping brush to paint on the lines. Everything was sealed in with another layer of HK Girl.
I seriously loved these nails so much! I was so happy with how the lines turned out and that I was able to recreate this on my right hand too!
I have a quick little note too. I'm going to be a little absent from Instagram because my phone died on me the night before New Years Eve and I can't get it to turn back on. I'm hoping to bring it to get fixed tomorrow but we'll see how it goes. I'll still be posting here though! Thanks for reading guys!
