Green! Woo!

Here's what I used:

I came across this pattern on Pinterest the other day and was drawn to the colors immediately. I knew that I wanted to use this for the monochrome theme of this challenge but I feel like a majority of the nails that I've posted this year (its only been a week haha) so far have been blue. So, to switch it up a little I decided to change the colors to green!

These nails started with two coats of Neely and a layer of HK Girl. Then one nail at a time, I dabbed on some Tilda, Grass Is Lime Greener, and Hunter which I turned swirled around with my brush dipped in acetone. When that had dried, I used a dotting tool (not pictured) to add on the diamond shapes. I finished this look by adding a rhinestone (previously reviewed) in the middle and adding another layer of HK Girl.

This look isn't technically monochrome because of the rhinestones but close enough! I really liked this design and want to try playing around with the colors in the future.

Thanks for reading guys!

  11. Definitely a cool and funky look! Love the dots over the marbled base and I never would've thought to use the rhinestones with green but it so works!
