Hello lovelies!
Quick post again today because it's late....and I spent my Friday night doing homework, yeah, lame, I know...
So, onto the nails!
And I guess I did striped nails two days in a row? Whoops.
Here's what I used:
Today's theme for the 31 Day Challenge is animal print, which honestly, I don't like because I feel like it's so typical. I think every challenge has an animal print day and I have a hard time finding something that is different. But I found something for today! These nails were inspired by a Map Puffer Fish!
These nails started with two coats of Zoya's Codie and a layer of HK Girl. Then using the bigger of the two striping brushes and the yellow acrylic paint, I freehanded on the stripes randomly. When that had dried, I used the white acrylic paint and the smaller striping brush to paint inside the yellow stripe. You could probably do this with nail polish but I find that acrylic paint is more opaque so it covers over darker colors better and it's easier to control. These were finished with a layer of HK Girl.
For a weird looking fish, these turned out to be pretty cool nails! I wish I hadn't done these in the beginning of my nail art spree yesterday because I would have liked to actually wear these for a bit. That's another downfall of daily challenges, you can never wear what you paint for very long and by long, I mean like 12+ hours because I still change my nail polish everyday even when not doing long challenges.....yeahhhhh....
Thanks for reading guys!

Awesome that you were able to reuse yesterday's nails for this theme. There cool and there so bright too.

ReplyDeletethese are kind of stripey - fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic! Great take on your inspiration!
ReplyDeletePretty pretty pretty! I like that the yellow acrylic is more and less opaque in different places - it looks like you did a yellow-ish green gradient throughout the base!
ReplyDeleteThis is super pretty! It's early for me, but I love that it looks 3 dimensional when I look at it!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
