Ello!
I have another post for you all today and this time it's to show you guys an indie brand that's new to me. So, let me introduce you guys to Liquid Kandi! I have some polishes from her upcoming October Sweet Treat Box which will go on sale starting October 1st, so let's get onto the polish!
*All swatches are shown with one coat of HK Girl
First up is Autumn Leaves! I'm showing you guys three coats of this orange polish that is filled with gold shimmer. The formula was really easy to work with but it did have the tendency to leave some brushstrokes, I find that typical with most shimmer polishes though.
Kim said that this polish reminded her of when the leaves start to change color but I look at this and see pumpkins...I don't know why, it just reminds me of a jack-o-lantern! Or maybe you'll find out why if you check back tomorrow (;
Next up is Spellbound!
Spellbound is a purple jelly polish that took four coats to reach this opacity. This polish is a real jelly and applies very sheer but I didn't have any problems with it building up. The multiple layers did make it dry a bit slower but it's nothing that a layer of quick dry topcoat can't fix.
I did have some issues with there being clumps of unmixed pigment in my bottle of Spellbound but I've emailed Kim about this and she informed me that I received a bottle that wasn't fully mixed. She assured me that all other bottles are coming from a different batch so you shouldn't have any issues. Either way, I think this is a really pretty purple! I actually don't think I have a purple like this in my collection, I'm not a fan of how sheer it is but I think this would be great for a glitter-jelly sandwich or lead lighting.
Last is Luminosity!
I'm showing you guys one coat of Luminosity layered over two coats of Zoya's Natty. This polish is filled with a ton of small holographic glitters and I think could probably be built up to full opacity on its own.
This polish. I love it! It's like Fairy Dust on crack! I mean, we all love Fairy Dust so why wouldn't we love an even sparklier version of Fairy Dust? I did compare the two on a piece of paper and the glitters in this polish are even smaller than the ones in Fairy Dust. I do find that this hides your base polish a bit but it's perfect for when you want over the top sparkles!
Here are some macros:
Remember that the Halloween collection will be launching October 1st! I actually just looked but Autumn Leaves and Luminosity are available to purchase right now, I'm thinking that it's a pre-order, but they retail for $8 for 15mL. You can order the October Sweet Treat Box for $30 which includes all three polishes and some nail art accessories. I think these polishes are perfect for Halloween and I can't wait to show you guys the nail art that I did with them! Here are some of her links:
Thanks for reading guys!

These are nice!
ReplyDeleteLuminosity is gorgeous, especially over that Zoya! Spellbound looks good too, I could definitely see using that for a Halloween-themed jelly sandwich :) Great swatches!
