Hello lovelies!
We're at day 7 of the 31 Day Challenge! Can you believe that it's already been a week? Wow. Only 3 more weeks to go haha!
Anyways, onto the nails!
I know I keep saying this, but I think these nails turned out pretty cool!
Here's what I used:
Like every other post for this challenge, these nails too were inspired by a pattern. This one is kind of cool though because it's based off of a mud cloth made in West Africa? I feel like I'm learning a lot with this challenge and I'm not sure how I feel about it....I mean that's what school is for....too bad I couldn't use one of these random facts I've learned in a critique and like blow everyones's minds!
But these nails started with 2 coats of Sally Hansen's Black Out and a layer of HK Girl. Then using my small detail brush and the white acrylic paint, I added on the symbols. I cleaned everything up and added another layer of HK Girl.
We're reaching the end of the colors section of the challenge and I'm super sad about it. The color themes are great because you have so much freedom and can paint whatever inspires you. Now, I actually have to think haha!
Thanks for reading guys!
-Marisa! (:
They did turn out good. I like how you free handed the design here a lot.
ReplyDeleteReally like these, and hun, you know life is about learning, that does not apply to just school *winks*

ReplyDeletecool design!!
ReplyDeleteCool inspiration and you did a great job of recreating it!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuper fun! I think I like the design on your pointer finger the best, I like the x's. Also random question (that I could probably look up online for myself): what do you use to clean the acrylic from your skin on the edges? Just water?
ReplyDeleteSo cute, as per usual! Awesome representation of the mud cloth!
ReplyDeleteCool :D
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you were spot on with your inspiration! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you (:

ReplyDeleteThanks (:
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! (:
ReplyDeleteThank you! I normally use acetone but I don't recommend it because it can cause the paint to stain your skin, I still do it anyways....whoops. Water should work or it dries fast enough that you can pick it off.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! (:
ReplyDeleteThanks! (:
