Hello lovelies!
Hopefully everyone had a lovely weekend! Mine was kind of lame since I'm having more car troubles....my car is so loud, like to the point where it's embarrassing drive but I have to go to class soooo....yeah, can't wait to hang out at the mechanics this week!
Anyways, onto the nails!
This was the first day of the challenge that I really struggled with. I only own one metallic polish and I don't like it so it wasn't a very inspiring day....
Here's what I used:
If you type in "metallic pattern" on Pinterest, you kind of get a whole of nothing....so I decided to change the colors around in this pattern to fit what I needed. The source link is funny so I can't find out who made the original design /:
These nails started with two coats of Snake, Rattle, And Roll. The polish is a nice color but I can't stand the brushstrokes which is the main reason why I don't like metallic polishes. But when that was dry, I used my detail brush to paint the diamonds on in a random pattern. I then used the same brush and the black acrylic paint to add the little lines. Everything was sealed in with a layer of HK Girl.
These were cute to wear and I was able to decently recreate this on my right hand! I kind of want to start like a challenge or a tag or something of us nail bloggers and artists attempting to paint on our dominant hand. I think it'd be really fun even though I just looked down and realized that I have nail polish all over my fingers on that hand because I did a bad job cleaning up.....Uhmm, okay, so maybe scratch that!
Thanks for reading guys!
-Marisa! (:
There nice!
ReplyDeleteI'm not huge on metallics either because of the brush strokes, but these look pretty good :) I like the little turquoise diamond pattern!
ReplyDeleteI think this is interesting! Creative use of the prompt!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely creative! I love that blue shade.
ReplyDeleteI like this design! It's funky and fun. :) I wish I could send my husband over to help you with your car, he's a genius when it comes to car stuffs.
ReplyDeleteHow do you only have one metallic?? You crazy!! But yeah, I hear you about brush strokes, my mortal enemy.
ReplyDeleteVery cool pattern! I would love a shirt like that!
You are so creative! I am surprised that you only have one metallic too! I hate when they start looking too frosty. These are really cool!
ReplyDeletethe diamonds are really cute!
ReplyDeleteMetallic polishes are hard to use since they can be fussy during application. I think this turned out really cool though. Especially with the pop of turquoise!
ReplyDeleteI think this turned out really well! I think I probably own about as many metallic polishes as you do...and it's probably an Essie too! :p
ReplyDeleteI love the diamond accents!
ReplyDeleteThis design is so cute! I actually hate metallic polishes for the same reason as you, but I have tons of them because I don't wear them...I stamp with them. They are amazing for stamping! And there are no brushstrokes! :D
ReplyDeleteVery cute design! For having a non inspiring day, I think you pulled it off beautifully!
ReplyDeleteLovely! I'm not a huge fan of metallic polishes either, but I really think you made this look work. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute!! Kinda reminds me of a native tribal pattern! I would totally love this on a pillow. Oh the 31DC Challenge. I've totally fallen off the wagon. I need to get caught up ASAP but it's tough!!!
ReplyDeleteThe look is really cute! But you need more metallic polishes. There are some good ones, you know and you are amazing at creating these looks with them!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeleteAww thank you!! I know, it's just not a polish finish that interests me. /:
ReplyDeleteYeah, they're a bit of a pain. But thank you!
ReplyDeleteHaha I feel like it's not a very popular finish. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've heard that before. I don't stamp much though.
