Hello lovelies!
I don't have much to say for an intro today, except maybe that today is the two week mark of the 31 Day Challenge. Only two weeks and a couple days to go, which I'm hoping I can keep up with because I'm barely keeping it together now....
Anyways, onto the nails!
Flower day was the day that I was probably looking forward to the most. Floral patterns might be one of my favorite things ever!
Here's what I used:
Gotta admit that picking a pattern to paint today was a tad overwhelming since a lot of my "Pattern Inspiration" board on Pinterest is floral designs....and by a lot, I mean it's like a virtual garden.....but in the end, I decided to paint this pattern on my nails. And run-on sentences are cool...
But these nails started out with two coats of Luxe Lacquer's Rose (which I reviewed here). I normally would have used OPI's My Vampire Is Buff here but my bottle is so low that it's a pain to use even with thinner. I have a bottle in my Amazon cart right now but I haven't bought nail polish in close to a month and I was kind of hoping to keep the no-buy momentum going....I have so many polishes that never get used. /: Anyways, the colors for the floral design were mixed from the above acrylic paints and everything was painted with the detail brush. The whole design was finished with a coat of HK Girl.
This design is cute but I think I painted everything too small on my nail....which I didn't even know was possible. I don't know, my right hand has been bothering me lately between drawing for classes and doing nail art, and these were done while it was feeling pretty bad. So, yeah, a little disappointed with the overall outcome but oh well, there's still 15 more days to redeem myself!
