Hello lovelies!
I have some Christmas polishes from a "new-to-me" indie brand for you all today! Lac Attack is a brand that I always used to see reviewed on other blogs, and I always thought that the polishes were so cool and that I wanted to try some of the polishes one of these days. Well, today is that day! I have half of the Festivus Collection for you guys, so lets get to the polish!
*All swatches shown with one layer of HK Girl
I'm going to start the review off with this polish, Peppermint Cocoa. This lovely, hot cocoa colored polish is filled with little red and white flakes along with shimmer. I'm showing you guys two thicker coats of the polish on its own.
I found the formula on this polish pretty easy to work with, it was a little slow to self-level but a layer of topcoat eliminates any issues with that. I love the idea of this polish! The red and white flakes representing the peppermint and the brown for the cocoa. I'm not 100% sold that it works with my skin tone but I think this will be great for a nail art base!
I remembered to take direct light macros for all of the polishes today!
Next up is Silver & Cold!
Silver & Cold is a champagne, silver shimmer polish that is filled with little, gold flakes. I'm showing you guys two coats of this on its own.
This was another polish where it seemed a little slow to self-level but again, topcoat will help that. I do think that this polish leans a little frosty for my taste and there are some minor brushstrokes, but I do like how blingy this is! This is a super, unique polish in my collection and I can imagine myself using this in a New Years Ever manicure!
Now, let's move onto the glitters!
This first glitter is called Holiday Explosion and it really is an explosion of holiday colors on your nails! This polish has an assortment of red, green, and gold glitters in a variety of shapes and smaller, sizes within a clear base.
I'm showing you guys one coat over two coats of Zoya's Blu. As you can see, this polish has a great glitter payoff. I think you could possibly even get this up to full opacity in three or four coats if you wanted too. I actually don't own any polishes with this color combination so this is a very welcome addition to my collection!
Last up is Merry & Bright!
Merry & Bright is a clear based polish that is filled with tiny pink, yellow, white, and lavender glitters. I'm showing you guys one coat over two coats of Zoya's Margo.
Again, this polish has a really great glitter payoff and I'm sure that you could reach full opacity with this one too. I thought that this polish was really fun and the colors were pretty unique for a holiday collection!
Here are some bottle macros:
I'm still so excited that I got to do this review for this brand. The polishes definitely lived up to the expectations that I imagined when I first read about this brand when I started blogging....I don't know if that last sentence made sense....uhm, but it boils down to I like these polishes. A lot. I can definitely see myself reaching for these for some holiday nail art!
These along with the other four polishes in the Festivus Collection are available in the Lac Attack store now. They all retail for $8 for a full size bottle. Here are some links:
Thanks for reading guys!
