Hello lovelies!
I'm back with another pairing of polishes from Kitty Polish! Today I'll be showing you guys My 2 Cents and BFF!
Onto the nails!
First up is My 2 Cents!
My 2 Cents is a shimmer-y bronze/copper polish that reached opacity in 2 coats. The formula was really easy to work with (it applied like a creme) and I was able to swatch this with little clean-up!
This polish is really pretty and I don't think I have anything like this in my stash. The color reminds me of the color of a clean penny (possible pun in polish name? I like it!). If your looking for a polish this color, I recommend checking this one out because the formula is great and it's not brushstroke-y like other shimmer-y, metallics.
Next up is BFF!
I'm showing you guys 2 coats of BFF on its own. This is a shimmer-y teal polish that I swear has a holographic sparkle to it. The formula of this polish was a bit thicker than the rest and it did result in visible brushstrokes if not applied carefully.
This was another polish that I really liked the color of! Teal polishes are always popular and the super subtle holographic-ness (I'm telling you, it's there!) is an added bonus. The thicker formula didn't make this too difficult to apply, just make sure to work fast.
And now onto the nail art I did with these two!
I really wanted to think of something fancy like yesterday's nail art but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw these together was a half-moon design.
I started these with 2 coats of BFF and some topcoat. I then laid down reinforcement stickers and painted on My 2 Cents. I did use a much thicker coat to cover the polish underneath. While the polish was wet, I placed the black rhinestones.
I think how simple this nail art is! Here are some macros that I took:
Remember that most full-sized polishes retail for $8 a bottle. Here are some links:
This won't be the last time you see Kitty Polish on the blog! I should have some more polishes up in the next few weeks. Thanks for reading guys!
-Marisa! (:
I like My 2 Cents a lot. Both colors look great together in that manicure too.
