Hello lovelies!
I'm back with a post for The Nail Challenge Collaborative! This month we're recreating our first 4 nail art designs.
Onto the nails!
Watercolor nails are such a hard thing to recreate because each time you do them, you get different results! Gah, not nice haha!
Here's what I used:
I know I said that I was going to try and keep most of the manicures the same when I redid my nail designs but I wasn't a fan of how the colors in my original blended together so I picked different polishes. Also, my bottle of Fairy Dust is getting too low!
These nails started with 2 coats of White On and a layer of topcoat. I then took a color and dabbed a little on with my nail with the brush from the bottle. Then using a brush dipped in acetone, I spread the polish around. This was then repeated with the rest of the colors, only doing one at a time. I topped it off with a layer of Fairy Dust and topcoat!
Here's a comparison:
My recreation looks a lot different from the original but I like them a lot better! The colors blended together better and the Fairy Dust adds a little sparkle. I'm also super excited about how much better my cuticles look! They used to be so dry, it's gross to go back and look at them haha.
Here's another song for today:
