Ello!
I'm back with my 1st post for The Nail Challenge Collaborative for July. This month we are recreating our first 4 nail art manicures! I think this is a super fun idea because we can see whether or not we've improved since we began blogging haha.
Let's get to the nails!
I've decided that I'm going to try and keep the basic idea of the design the same but to make changes to also improve it at the same time!
Here's what I used:
I think this manicure might have been the death of my bottle of Mellow Yellow. I tried adding some thinner to the bottle but I was basically like scrapping at the sides to get enough polish to do this gradient. It sucks that Sally Hansen went and changed the color. My job already replaced all the old bottles with the new ones /:
One of the changes that I made while doing these nails was to start with a white base! In my original, I just sponged the blue over the yellow making it turn green but now it's actually blue. I also decided to switch out the purple creme for a sparkly, indie polish because I like the little added effect it gives to the design!
And here's a comparison from the original post:
So much has changed since my first post! This post makes me realize just how far I've come in the past 10-11 months that I've been blogging. Can you believe that my 1 year of blogging is coming up in August? I think the photos speak for themselves, this is definitely a post that I feel good about (:
Here's another song for today:

Thanks for reading guys!

Looks great! I love seeing the comparison shot too.
ReplyDeleteThis year has flown hasn't it? I started about a month after you and I am hesitant to go back and look at those first few posts lol. This side by side is awesome and you should be proud. You started with a solid initial look and now you can see how much a year can do to really make it look "polished" - no pun intended!
ReplyDeleteIt has! I think the best part is that I'm still having fun. I had no idea I was going to get so involved in the whole nail polish/art world when I first started this and I love it! Thank you so much for your kind words :D
